What it is

Kuavo (KUAVO) is a full-size, high-dynamic humanoid robot released by Leju Robot on December 5, 2023, and China's first open-source OpenHarmony humanoid robot capable of jumping and walking across multiple terrains. The first-generation unit weighs about 45 kg with 26 degrees of freedom across the body (16 in the arms, 12 in the legs), reaches a top walking speed of 4.6 km/h, can perform rapid consecutive jumps of more than 20 cm, and walks on sand, grass, obstacles, and other terrain; it entered mass-production delivery at launch.

Highlights

01China's first open-source OpenHarmony humanoid robot capable of jumping and walking across multiple terrains
02The first Chinese company to achieve mass-production delivery of a large-size humanoid robot
03In-house integrated joints with peak torque above 300 Nm and torque density above 200 Nm/kg
04More than 90% of components sourced domestically, with mass-production delivery at launch
05Later deployed for hands-on training at FAW Hongqi, NIO, and BAIC off-road vehicle plants
