What it is

Xiaodong is Dongfeng Motor's first humanoid, shown at the company's R&D institute in November 2025. It runs Dongfeng's DF30 automotive-grade MCU and T500 controller with more than 700 TOPS, plus an 8B multimodal model for offline conversation, and is intended for reception and guided selling in Dongfeng dealerships. A second, silver factory robot developed with the Huazhong University of Science and Technology team of academician Ding Han was training for handling, sorting and inspection work in 2026. Dongfeng showed Xiaodong again at the 2026 World Robot Conference.
