Digit is Agility Robotics' bipedal humanoid robot for logistics. It stands 175 cm tall, weighs about 65 kg and can carry a 16 kg payload, and it is the first humanoid robot in history to enter commercial operation. Starting in 2022, Agility built RoboFab in Oregon, the world's first humanoid robot factory; in 2023 it released the production Digit and began deliveries.
Its commercial path has been clear: in October 2023 Amazon announced it was testing Digit moving empty totes at its robotics research centre; in December 2023 logistics giant GXO launched a Digit pilot at the Spanx warehouse in Georgia; in 2024 the two signed a multi-year agreement under which Agility achieved the first formal commercial deployment of a humanoid robot on a robot-as-a-service (RaaS) model, supported by the Agility Arc cloud management platform. Manufacturers such as Schaeffler have also become customers.
Digit is purpose-built for repetitive handling work in warehouse logistics (putting totes and parcels away and moving them between locations), and can operate in human environments without modifying warehouse infrastructure. In November 2025 Agility announced that Digit had moved more than 100,000 totes cumulatively in commercial deployments.
